Privacy Notice
Last updated 14 September 2026.
Working draft. This notice has been written to accurately describe what this website actually does with your data, but it has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor. Please treat it as a good-faith draft rather than a finished, professionally reviewed policy.
Who we are
This website is operated by REYS Accountants, of 131 Verdant Lane, London, England, SE6 1JE. For any question about this notice or your personal data, contact us at info@reysaccountants.co.uk or 07398 888594.
What we collect
The only personal data this website collects is what you choose to give us through the contact form on our Contact page: your name, email address, business type, and whatever you write in the message field. We don't collect anything else automatically. Specifically:
- This site does not use cookies.
- This site does not run any analytics, advertising, or visitor-tracking software.
- We don't collect your IP address, browsing behaviour, or device information for any purpose of our own.
How we use it
We use the information you submit through the contact form solely to respond to your enquiry, and, if you go on to become a client, to have the initial conversations needed to set up that relationship. Once you're a client, any further use of your personal data for delivering accountancy services is covered separately by our engagement terms, not by this website notice.
Our legal basis
We rely on legitimate interest to respond to an enquiry you've chosen to send us. If that enquiry turns into a client relationship, our ongoing use of your data shifts to what's necessary to perform that contract and to meet our legal obligations as an accountancy practice (for example, HMRC and Companies House record-keeping requirements).
Who we share it with
Enquiries submitted through our contact form are processed by Formspree, Inc., a third-party form-handling service that receives your submission and forwards it to us by email. Formspree is based in the United States, so submitting the form involves a transfer of your data outside the UK to enable that processing. Formspree's own privacy practices are described at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with any other third party.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data that doesn't turn into a client relationship is kept only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and then deleted. If you become a client, your records are kept for the periods required by UK tax and accountancy regulation, which is generally at least five years after the relevant tax year.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it's wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@reysaccountants.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), if you think we've handled your data incorrectly.
Changes to this notice
If what this website collects or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top of it.
